1053

Three of FESPA’s national associations will host a Southern European Congress from 10-11 March, 2015, at the Confortel Barcelona, Spain, with the support of FESPA. Entitled 'The WOW Effect of Printing', the two-day congress will be a dynamic, international networking event, with invaluable industry knowledge-sharing across FESPA members’ market sectors.

FESPA France Association, FESPA España Association (Spain) and SIOTEC Association (Italy) will deliver two days of educational content, networking and knowledge sharing.

Funded through FESPA’s Profit for Purpose programme, which reinvests revenue from FESPA’s global exhibition portfolio, the congress will benefit print service providers and enhance their practical knowledge and business prowess.

The first day of the event will consist of presentations from industry figures, an analysis of markets and the latest technical innovations, as well as a “speed-networking” session. A networking dinner on the first evening will provide delegates with the opportunity to meet with print manufacturers and suppliers. The second day will include a customer debate analysing industry trends and case studies.

Sean Holt, General Secretary, FESPA commented, 'FESPA is always seeking to put investment into action at a local level through our Profit for Purpose programme, and we are very proud to support this landmark printing congress. The congress, organised by three of our Southern European associations, represents a unique opportunity for printers to enhance their knowledge and gain insight to develop their businesses from industry experts. The Southern European Congress will demonstrate the benefits of being a member of a local association, including educational content and access to exclusive networking opportunities and events, such as the congress.'

Josep Tobella, President, FESPA España added, 'We are very happy to host this unique congress which will bring together the best industry experts and thought leaders from across Southern Europe. The exchange of experiences and insight is valuable and will offer printers better opportunities in an increasingly global market.'

The Southern European Congress is part of a larger series of regional events in 2015 funded through the Profit for Purpose programme, reinforcing FESPA’s commitment to education and knowledge sharing by means of a comprehensive calendar of FESPA exhibitions and events worldwide. Other congresses will take place in Copenhagen, Mexico City and Johannesburg.
