Epson has released its first dye sublimation material, the 75gsm DS Transfer Production Paper.

The DS Transfer is optimised for use with the Epson range of SureColor SC-F inkjet printers and UltraChrome DS inks. DS Transfer Production Paper has been developed for the volume production of textiles for fashion and soft signage applications.

The paper dries quickly to avoid cockling. Its high ink transfer to textile substrates capability, even with heavy ink loads, is said to maximise ink use efficiency and produce consistent high quality, sharp images and vibrant colours.

Martin Johns, market development manager, Epson UK said, ‘Our first transfer paper gives end users total peace of mind by providing a complete solution comprising Epson printer, ink and media, which have been optimised to work together to ensure the best all-round quality and performance for textile applications.’

The 75gsm DS paper is compatible with the SureColor SC-F range of dye sublimation printers and available in two high-volume roll sizes: 1.08m x 1.52m and 1.62m x 1.75m.
