Key Digital Introduces Signage HDBaseT Extender Kit

Key Digital unveiled the digital signage KD-X444L extender kit, which can extend 18 GB per second of video signals with HDCP 2.2. The device can also extend 4K video with HDR10 content over a single network cable. The KD-X444L marks the company’s first offering with full bandwidth support for HDMI 2.0A video specifications.

Jonathan Ferry, national training manager, Key Digital said, ’Key Digital products have EDID control, allowing integrators to choose up to 16 different EDID handshakes that can be provided to the connected source. The 4K handshakes also feature HDR, which means the installer no longer has to optimise the video settings in the playback devices. With Forced Hot Plug Detection integrators can activate voltage to the connected source and to the connected display regardless of if signal is actually present which increases reliability for your system.’

The kit comes with a ‘Long Range Mode’ that can extend 1080p resolutions up to 152.4m (500 feet). Other features include:
• Power over HDBaseT.
• Can extend 3840 by 2160 at 60 Hertz at 4:4:4.
• Can extend IR/RS-232 control signals.
