During the month of November of 2013, Kyle Parker, MD of Traceability Solutions, traveled an incredible 32000 kilometers. During his extensive journey, Kyle traveled from the warm Orlando in the USA, to the sweltering South Sudan, Ethiopia and Dubai and finally to the much cooler climate of New York.

Kyle Parker attended a wealth networking conference in Orlando, Florida where he rubbed shoulders with industry tycoons and leaders, chief executives, small businesses owners, government leaders, celebrities and academics from around the world.

The purpose of this conference was to:

1. Network with A-players,
2. Learn what’s working and what’s not in the business world from the best entrepreneurs and speakers in the world,
3. Build credibility and branding.

Kyle was, once again, invited by the United Nations to participate in technical consultations at the UN Headquarters in New York on the 19th November 2013. These consultations were held in connection with a report, due to be released later in 2014 by the UN Secretary-General to UN Member States, on new technology related to marking, record-keeping and tracing of Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW).

The report will also cover the practical steps needed to ensure the continued and enhanced effectiveness of such a national weapons marking project, as well as relevant practices in relation to international assistance and capacity building; including ways to support the transfer, uptake and effective utilisation of relevant tools and technologies.
