Grafityp has received its seventh VOKA Innovation award. VOKA, the Flemish division of the Belgian Chamber of Commerce, organise a ‘Day of Growth and Innovation’ each year. All candidates of the Belgian province of Limburg are screened prior to this event and eventually three of them are nominated to receive the award of ‘Most Innovative Company’.
This year the first prize was awarded to Grafityp Self-adhesive Products for their enormous efforts in developing and launching a PVC-free sign making film. Governor Herman Reynders said, ‘The judges selected Grafityp as the winner, as innovation is in their genes, from father to son, from executive to operator. Grafityp started developing the PVC-free sign making film almost 10 years ago. Today the product is perfect and unique in the world. Yesterday the company started thinking about tomorrow’s needs, and today they benefit from it. They earned themselves a technological head start, that gives them a clear advantage over the competition. In short, a local pearl and deserved winner.’
