Exion Corporation Combats Rhino Poaching With New Black Rhino CNC Machine

Exion Corporation has launched the Black Rhino CNC machine, a solution based on several years of Exion’s market research. A portion of every Black Rhino machine sale will be donated to an anti-rhino poaching organisation.

According to the company, Korean CNC routers are cheaper than European and American machines, but are still out of the budget range for medium to smaller signage companies in the country. There are affordable CNC machines under R200,000 at entry level, however CNC machines are not just short-term investments that need to work for a couple of years and then be scrapped. For a CNC machine to be a good investment, it is required to run for at least 10 years.

To do that, some key elements need to be looked at, for example the base steel structure is very important. This is a major concern for Exion Corporation, along with steel strength and thickness as well the design, look and ease of operation.

Exion’s Black Rhino CNC machine can be customised according to the client’s specifications and requirements. Offering such a dynamic to not just the signage companies but to those in the furniture and shop fitting industries, really gives the buyer peace of mind when looking at the quality and capability of the machine. It cuts and engraves with ease on a number of different materials such as acrylic, ACM, aluminium and other plastics.

Fitted with a European spindle to ensure quality cutting every time and supported by the Japanese servo motor, the Black Rhino has some ingenuity behind it.

Exion also supply long lasting drill bits for CNC machines ranging from 3-6mm in Tungsten (raw material) from Germany and milled in China.

Travis Carter-Johnson, Exion machinery division, sales, explained that the drill bits are popular with customers, who have reported that there is much longer lifespan than what they previously used.
