The ProcessStandard Digital (PSD) was originally developed by Fogra Forschungsgesellschaft Druck e.V. to establish international mandatory standards for the digital print business.
The Proofgate Module Version 7.20 allows creating PSD-compliant digital prints, so the internal control wedge evaluation for large format printing has been adjusted to the PSD defaults. This allows the media relative print guaranteeing a consistent colour reproduction no matter what printing method or material was used. Additionally, the established way of the absolute reproduction (side-by-side) was adapted to the PSD instructions. With the modified evaluation dialogue it is easier to switch between the different evaluation criteria like ISO 12647 or the new PSD. The layout of the evaluations for ISO A4 or label printers will be automatically adapted to the selection.
