Intamarket partnered with Avery Dennison and Brand-A-Car to host four days of advanced vehicle application training. The trainees were treated to a very hands-on experience and insights from wrapping expert Marius Smuts, Brand-a-car, and Avery Dennison product specialist Sarel Kruger.
Not only did participants learn practical tricks when wrapping difficult areas of a vehicle, they were also taught about the different Avery and Mactac products and learnt how to select the correct vinyl for each different type of application.
The trainees were also encouraged to use their initiative in some of the wrapping areas with input from the trainers on how to improve their own application techniques. The trainers also explained how to use the different tools available for wrapping and why you would use certain tools in the different areas of wrapping.
Steinel also joined in the training session with a short presentation on how to use their heat gun and laser thermometer, which has been designed with the vehicle wrapper in mind.
Jaco Labuschagne from Intamarket Graphics said, ‘Upon arrival it was clear that Avery was properly prepared for a day of intense training, with three cars, toolkits, loads of wrapping film and hot coffee. Each participant shared their current wrapping obstacles and Kruger, with the assistance of Smuts, addressed each of these points, helping and guiding the attendees during the day. At the end each attendee was fired up and ready to wrap the ‘world’. Great work Avery!’
