Sun Chemical Presented Full Printing Solutions Portfolio

With a focus on digital solutions designed to elevate product innovation and efficiency across the print and graphics markets, Sun Chemical highlighted its full digital portfolio that enables customers to achieve new levels of productivity, quality and sustainability.

The company presented its comprehensive portfolio of solutions for graphics, textiles and industrial print applications under the theme ‘Experience. Transformation.’ at PRINTING United Expo 2025 during October.

Wide Format and Super Wide Format Graphics

Sun Chemical featured a range of wide format digital inks engineered for image quality, versatility and durability. Offerings to view at the show featured Sun Chemical’s Streamline ink series, including eco-solvent and aqueous ink solutions:

Streamline Toccata aqueous inks for poster printing and corrugated display applications offer a sustainable water-based ink technology with high colour strength and fast drying. Newly launched in 2025, this was the first showcase of the technology in the U.S.

The Streamline range of eco-solvent inks were also on display, offering low-odour and GREENGUARD Gold certification, with updates to the Streamline ESL 2 and Ultima inks highlighted for compatibility with Epson i3200 and Brother printheads.

Sun Chemical also presented new UV ink technology for low viscosity printheads, such as the Epson i3200. Adding to Sun Chemical’s UV technology portfolio, this ink range included CMYK, white and varnish and is a low viscosity formula that requires no heating within the printer. Targeting graphics and UV direct-to-film (DTF) markets, Sun Chemical invited customers interested in the technology to discuss options during the exhibition.

Textile Inks

Sun Chemical presented its portfolio of digital textile inks, including water-based sublimation inks for textiles, and pigmented inks for a variety of textile substrates and DTF inks.

ElvaJet Opal SB sublimation inks are designed for low viscosity printheads and developed for consistent colour strength and high quality print on low-weight papers.

ElvaJet Topaz SC advanced sublimation inks are for transfer paper or direct polyester applications, offering superior edge definition, exceptional colour quality and reduced environmental impact through efficient ink release.

Xennia Sapphire pigmented textile inks are ideal for use with a variety of fabric types, high fastness and waste reduction through eco-conscious design.

Xennia Jade inks are engineered for DTF printers that require low maintenance while producing vibrant colours on dark substrates with exceptional durability, abrasion resistance and lasting performance.

Industrial Solutions

Sun Chemical’s solutions for industrial printing address specialised markets including packaging, décor and functional applications.

The SunJet range of UV and water-based ink technologies was showcased at the expo. A strategic ink partner, SunJet works with OEMs to optimise solutions for markets, including direct-to-object, packaging and industrial decoration printing.

SEPAREL for inkjet applications, a significant advancement in degassing technology developed by DIC Corporation, was also on display. The modules facilitate optimal ink performance by ensuring minimal pressure loss and compact size.
