Printbase Textiles’ core business has always been in producing warp knitted fabrics for the digital print industry. With the advent of COVID-19 this industry has completely been put on hold. As such, the company has researched textile options for PPE products and started making mask fabrics.

‘We are now researching other fabrics for barrier gowns, mattress protection fabrics, hospital bed curtains and gazebo fabrics for COVID-19 testing stations,’ said director Bill Naylor.

The company specialises in wallpaper fabrics (UV and dye sub applications); bannerwall fabrics (UV, dye sub paper and direct); flag fabrics (UV, dye sub paper and direct); stretch fabrics (dye sub paper and direct); backlit fabrics (eco-solvent, UV, latex, dye sub paper and direct) and water repellant gazebo fabrics (eco-solvent, UV, latex, dye sub paper and direct).
