SYTECH SUPPLIES SHOWCASES EZEE APPLICATOR MINI AT SIGN AFRICA ROADSHOW

The company showcased the first South African manufactured flatbed application table, the Ezee Applicator MINI, at the at the Sign Africa RoadShow in Nelspruit. The machine is ideal for desktop vinyl and print applications, no compressor is required and application size is 1000 x 650.

The machine was conceptualised and developed over a period of a year by engineer Kevin Richards, who co-owns Ogwini Engineering with two partners. The machine cuts out valuable time in applying printed media to any rigid substrate in minutes instead of hours and all this is done with no need for a squeegee or water.

The company also showcased the affordable Super J-Star inks. The eco-solvent inks are imported from Japan, are Cyclohexanone-free and have a 2-3 year outdoor durability.

There are three different variants of the ink and two are for the Epson print heads. The odourless S-EP-Series is for those in the office environment and the M-EP-Series (mild, low smell ink) is for those who are more price-conscious. They are perfect for all Mimaki and Mutoh printers. The third ink, the K-SK series (no smell), is for Konica print heads for HP and Seiko printers.

MIDCOMP SHOWCASES HP L28500 FOR FIRST TIME IN AFRICA

The company has showcased the new HP Designjet L28500 at the Africa Print RoadShow in Nelspruit. This is the first time that the machine has been showcased in Africa.

The 2,64m wide L28500 offers improved durability compared with Eco-solvent technology. It features new HP 762 Latex Designjet inks, which produce rich blacks and glossy results on banners and self-adhesive vinyl, and offer double-sided printing capabilities with less user intervention and more accurate, automated registration.

Ideal for high-impact point-of-purchase displays, soft signage, bus shelters, vehicle graphics and more, the printer can print on a broad range of materials, including eco-solvent compatible media and low-cost uncoated options. The devices produce 1200dpi output with outdoor display permanence of up to three years unlaminated or five years laminated for high-quality, long-lasting prints. The output also dries inside the printer, boosting productivity for double-sided print jobs, and allowing immediate finishing or use.

The HP DesignJet Latex printer range also includes the DesignJet L26500, a 1.55m wide model. The L26500 offers the same outstanding features as the wider L28500.

Midcomp was the runner up in the Best Large Stand category at the RoadShow.
