Created to work with Mutoh’s latest generation of water-based sublimation printers, including the XpertJet 1341WR Pro, 1642WR Pro, and the future XpertJet 1682SR DS Pro, the new DS4 ProFlex ink offers better colour control, reliable printing, and smoother workflows.
The ink, a successor of Mutoh’s DS3 ink, uses a refined formula with new colour ingredients, improved grip on transfer paper and reduced sensitivity to temperature variations during printing. These upgrades translate to more stable colour reproduction, even during long production runs or when working with uncoated or lower-cost transfer paper.
Key highlights include: bright, stable colours, even on budget or uncoated sublimation paper; consistent high speed output with stable drop control; and faster sublimation activation at 195°C. It also features reliable printing during long print jobs or temperature changes; renewed ink formulation to be ready for ECO PASSPORT by OEKO-TEX® certification (for safe use in textiles); and is compatible with both transfer and direct-to-polyester printing.
DS4 ProFlex comes in clean, degassed 1kg pouches and is compatible with Mutoh’s advanced AccuFine piezo printhead technology. It’s suitable for use in among others sportswear, fashion, signage, and promotional items.
ECO PASSPORT by OEKO-TEX® is currently pending. The XPJ-1682SR DS Pro printer is expected later in 2025.
