Mimaki has appointed Hisayuki Kobayashi as its new president, following Mikio Noguchi’s retirement. At the Board of Directors’ meeting held on April 11, 2012, the company decided upon a staff reassignment.
Reason for staff reassignment
Mimaki Engineering Co., Ltd. has advanced globalisation in recent years, including the improvement of the sales promotion system in the emerging countries. In order to ensure instant offering of the products to these strong growth markets and the expected settlement of a strong yen, the company aims at strengthening its marketing, cost competitiveness and production systems in the emerging countries. It will also continue to focus on the further reinforcement of the management base by delegating authority to the top of its development and production section.
Kobayashi will officially take up his new position during June 2012, when the Annual Meeting of Stockholders will be held.
