Metamark Film Adds Colour To Vehicle Project

Metamark Colour Change Cylinder Cast Wrapping Film (MM-CC) was used in a vehicle wrapping project. The MM-CC Series helps transform and customise a range of vehicles, including fleet and commercial.

Swindon based Aura Signs and Design has been perfecting its art and craft since 2007 and discovered wrapping while on the journey in about 2013. A local clothing company wanted to use an eye-turning wrap to put its 20th anniversary on the map. The car in question was a white Audi that, nice as it is, would probably be able to make its way unnoticed around town and further afield. That changed once the team at Aura Signs and Design got its hands on the vehicle.

What resulted from Aura’s efforts is a wrap that delivers high-octane visual impact that will endure long after the short-term wrap will be removed from the white vehicle. Expertly applied, the wrap very cleverly features a design swept in density and colour from the nose to the rear of the car. It starts out with fields of black, which gradually yields to blazing red.

The wrap invites close scrutiny and somewhat defies ideas as to how it was made. The dominantly black parts of the car are wrapped with Metamark MM-CC Colour Change Wrapping Film. Bringing up the rear, so-to-speak, is the voice of the red part of the design. That’s wrapped in Metamark MM-CC in Rosso-Red. The magic happens at the interface of the two materials with the Rosso-Red yielding to the black thanks to an area of faded black print.

It shouldn’t work, but it clearly does, so this is a great example of creative thinking and expert production and application. The wrap’s outing is short-term, it will be parting company with the car in about six months. Thanks to the MM-CC’s adhesive system, the film will come off the car and it won’t leave a trace of adhesive behind.
