Epson’s opening of a significantly expanded regional office in Nairobi comes amid rising demand for business printing and visual solutions across emerging markets, where companies are placing growing value on local support and reliable access to technology. This expansion reinforces the company’s commitment to East Africa as one of the priority growth markets within its wider Middle East, Turkey, Africa and Central and West Asia (META-CWA) region.
The Nairobi expansion increases its office footprint by 50% compared with its previous premises in Kenya and creating greater capacity to support its regional operations.
This investment forms part of Epson’s broader regional growth, with the company continuing to expand its network of offices, demonstration facilities and regional support infrastructure to bring its technology and expertise closer to partners and customers in high-potential markets.
Alongside this regional expansion, Epson is advancing its sustainability efforts through investments in renewable energy and energy-efficient technology. The company has extended its use of renewable energy certificates (RECs) to cover 10 sites across the region, including its offices in Kenya, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Türkiye, Israel, Ukraine, and the UAE Experience Centre.
‘Sustainability is central to our growth strategy,’ said Neil Colquhoun, President, Epson META-CWA. ‘Epson’s philosophy of efficient, compact and precise engineering means our environmental commitments and our business growth move in the same direction. As we continue to expand across the META-CWA region, we’re bringing that same philosophy to every market we invest in, including here in Kenya.’
The expanded facility includes a dedicated showroom and demonstration area, giving partners and customers the opportunity to experience Epson’s latest printing, projection and visual technologies first-hand. It also increases capacity for training, partner enablement and in-market service across the region.
‘Our new office here in Nairobi is a good example of what our commitment to customers looks like in practice,’ said Mukesh Bector, Epson’s Regional Head for East and West Africa. ‘It creates a hub where partners and customers can experience our technology first-hand, access training and work directly with our local team.’
The company’s approach extends from its own operations to the technology it develops, with efficiency embedded across its latest product portfolio.
‘When we talk about sustainability, we want it to be something customers can feel directly, through lower energy use, less ink waste and efficient performance,’ said Gareth Jay, Regional Sales Director, Epson Africa. ‘That is the kind of efficiency we want to keep building into the products we bring to this market.’
Epson’s latest printer and projector ranges for FY26 combine energy-efficient technology with compact design and performance across different customer needs. The new EcoTank and LifeStudio ranges bring these technologies to customers in Kenya and across the region.
Among the headline launches:
New EcoTank Printer Range
A new generation of Epson’s best-selling EcoTank printers, offering up to 90% savings on ink costs, up to three years of printing without needing a refill, and up to 20% faster colour printing. The range is built around Epson’s Micro Piezo Heat-Free print technology, which uses up to 96% less energy than traditional thermal inkjet printing, alongside a more compact, space-saving design.
