Vic Bay showcased its apparel range during the Sign Africa Cape Town Expo, which took place at the CTICC from 11-12 March. A proudly South African brand, for nearly three decades, the company oversee every step in-house, from spinning raw cotton into yarn, knitting and dyeing fabrics, to cutting and sewing garments, ensuring unmatched quality and control.
During the event, visitors could learn more about the company’s product range, namely T-shirts, which can be used in different applications, from branding for retail centres to the workwear market for tougher conditions. Tourism is also a popular market for T-shirts, particularly with bushveld-themed colours and pictures.
Vic Bay also have a range for ladies who prefer something a bit slimmer, fitting, shaped in at the waste, and with a scoop neck instead of basic threading. Polyester garments are also popular as they can take a lot more abuse than cotton (of which users have to be far more mindful with when following washing instructions).
Also showcased were golf-shirts, and a winter range that includes Drymack and high neck jackets. Another popular category is the children’s range which starts from ages 2 up to 14, and is particularly popular in schools and children’s clubs.
Vic Bay specialise in corporate colours and supply to people selling to companies, e.g Coca-Cola Red or Royal Blue. Part of the company’s services include customer dye, in addition to the in-house vertical operation of spinning, knitting, cutting and sewing.
If a customer wants a particular colour that isn’t available, they can give a material sample to Vic Bay, who will take it to their laboratory and match the colour.
The event was sponsored by Roland and Stixo.
