FLY THE FLAG FOR SOUTH AFRICA!
GETTING READY FOR THE 2010 FIFA WORLD CUP By Charnia Yapp This week Tuesday marked one hundred days to the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Are you ready? Stop focussing on the sponsors and the work that the bigger companies got leading up to 2010 FIFA World Cup. Many small, medium and micro-enterprises (SMMEs) should still be able to take up business opportunities created in the ripples of the 2010 World Cup. The many visitors (this figure varies depending on the source) who will pour into the country during the event will boost opportunities in accommodation, health services, travel services, short-term insurance, event management, logistics, arts, crafts and entertainment. These businesses will need branding, the question is - has the sign industry helped the nation get ready by branding South Africa?
