The investment in a Zünd G3 3XL-2500 digital cutter marks the latest milestone in ARC UK’s ongoing mission to deliver world-class print, signage, and design solutions. The new cutter enhances the company’s capacity to handle a growing volume of large format print jobs, particularly in banner printing and soft signage.
ARC UK provides comprehensive services ranging from design and print to signage and document scanning.
Ross Snell, Head of Operations EMEA at ARC Technologies UK said, ‘Our business has grown significantly in the large format sector over the past six years. This investment in the Zünd G3 3XL-2500 cutter supports that growth by enabling us to produce high-quality, bespoke finishes at greater speed and scale.’
While ARC already had a Zünd G3 L-2500 cutter for small format applications, the increase in demand for large format textile-based signage meant a larger bed size was essential.
Snell said, ‘Our existing cutter has served us well, but we needed the flexibility and capacity to finish bigger jobs efficiently, The 3XL-2500 gives us exactly that and the ability to interchange tools between both cutters gives us the on-hand flexibility required to meet tight deadlines and diverse customer needs.’
ARC’s longstanding relationship with Zünd also factored into the decision. Snell said, ‘Having first invested in Zünd technology in 2018, we were already familiar with the reliability, quality, and support the brand offers. We also use numerous Zünd cutters across our US operations, they are truly best-in-class.’
The additional capacity has allowed ARC UK to dedicate its original Zünd cutter to sustainable production, particularly for display stands and point-of-sale materials made from Xanita board, a lightweight, fully recyclable substrate supplied by Antalis.
Snell said, ‘Our focus on bespoke, sustainable solutions has really taken off. So much so, we have created a dedicated customer experience room to showcase our capabilities using Xanita. This is a powerful way to inspire clients and encourage them to think creatively and sustainably about their own projects.’
ARC is also innovating in other areas, including magnetic soft box displays and interchangeable graphics using its increasingly popular Mag-Wall concept, a flexible solution for clients who need to refresh campaign messaging without replacing entire displays.
Despite its global scale, ARC prides itself on a ‘global but local’ approach – delivering personalised service backed by the resources of a global infrastructure. Snell said, ‘We are proud to work with some of the world’s most recognisable brands, from Adidas and Accenture to PwC and Shell. It is our local teams and customer-first mindset that keep clients coming back.’
