Vehicle Wrappers Represent South Africa At FESPA In Hamburg

The Wrap Academy’s Vaughn Repsold made it as far as the quarter finals in the Battle World Tour Hexis 2016-2017, which was also held at FESPA Hamburg.

South African wrap professionals Ruan Greeff and Vaughn Repsold recently competed in two internationally acclaimed wrap challenges, which took place at FESPA in Hamburg.

World Wrap Masters

Greeff took second place in the Wrap Masters Europe challenge and then advanced to the World Wrap Masters final, which was held on 11 May. Finalists were required to wrap the side of a raceboat in just 60 minutes. The results were as follows:

First place: Jonas Sjostrom (Sweden), with prize money at an estimated R36,000 (€2500).
Second place: Martynas Bertulis (Ireland), with prize money at an estimated R18,000 (€1250).
Third place: Ruan Greeff (South Africa), with prize money at an estimated R11,000 (€750).

Battle World Tour Hexis 2016-2017

Repsold made it to the quarter finals in the Battle World Tour Hexis 2016-2017. The worldwide competition is organised by Hexis in collaboration with FESPA. During the various qualifying rounds, participants were required to compete in timed trials for the title of best installer.

Upcoming FESPA events include FESPA Africa, the region’s largest, focused exhibition for the wide format digital printing, screen printing, garment decoration and textile printing, which is co-located with Sign Africa and Africa Print, the region’s leading events for the signage industry. The event is taking place from 13-15 September 2017 at Gallagher Convention Centre, Johannesburg.
