Summa will launch its Pneumatic Oscillating Tool (POT) at Sign & Digital UK (30th April – 2nd May, Birmingham, UK). The robust construction of the tool makes it suitable to cut thick and tough boards like inverted corrugated board, corrugated cardboard and foam boards. It can also cut some soft foams and rubbers.
The POT, powered by compressed air, moves the knife up and down over a stroke of 8mm with a frequency of maximum 150Hz. Material up to 25mm thick can be cut.
Thanks to this new tool, the functionalities of Summa’s flatbed, the F1612, are even more extensive. It makes processing lighter board and inverted corrugated board much easier. Together with the V-cut tools, the pneumatic oscillating tool brings these applications to a successful end product.
Summa has also released the new version of MacSign. MacSign V10.2, supports the S Class 2 and Ethernet connection. All new versions of MacSign V10.2 (Cut, Lite and Full) are compatible with MacOSX 10.5 through 10.8 (i.e. Leopard, Snow Leopard, Lion and Mountain Lion). Customers can use the same activation code as from their previous activation. A new version of the MacSign manual is now also available on Summa’s website: www.summa.eu.
