Atom Signs & Print has installed the newly-launched Roland VG4-640 eco-solvent printer, which is one of the first installations in Africa, at its warehouse. The printer was installed by Esih Le Digital Solutions.
‘We purchased the Roland VG4-640, the newest machine offered by Roland, only arriving in Africa for the first time last week,’ said Aidan Connolly, operations manager at Atom Signs & Print, ‘This machine has a brand-new generation of print heads, and an ink configuration of CYMK + Light Black + Orange + Green + Red, which we hope will expand our printing capabilities and further assist us in setting the industry benchmark for vibrant, premium, and efficient digital printing solutions. This has been an exciting achievement for us as we have been aggressively improving our in-house technology to assist in offering premium solutions.’
Atom Signs & Print was opened in 2008 by director Chester Connolly, who now boasts 38 years of industry experience. While the company have always focused on 3D and LED signage manufacturing, they are hoping this new addition will expand their service offering to clients.
Norman Nyama, Director of Esih Le Digital Solutions, who oversaw the installation, has been working on Roland digital printers for over 20 years, having started his company in 2023. ‘He has built his own successful business selling to and servicing the industry. He has been a reliable and loyal supplier to us for years since we got our first Roland machine, and has bent over backwards to help us on many occasions when things got sticky. We are very grateful for his years of experience and guidance,’ said Aidan Connolly.
