Graphix Supply World launched the award-winning Mimaki JV400-160LX Latex printer at the Sign Africa Bloemfontein RoadShow on 30 May. This is the first time the printer has been launched in Africa. The company also won the award for Best Large Stand at the RoadShow.

The Mimaki JV400-LX series latex printer has won the EDPA Award For ‘Best Environmental Printing Solution’. Following the successful and highly publicized launch in Europe, at FESPA and drupa respectively, the JV400 LX printer is in demand, with a long waiting list.

The European Digital Press Association described the Mimaki JV400-LX as ‘a worthy winner’ thanks to its white ink, lower energy use and new print-head developments: ‘With the new piezo head, the viscosity of the ink is higher, meaning less drying time,’ the association highlighted.

The new JV400 LX printer and LX-100 latex ink developed by Mimaki, has numerous advantages over the competition. The groundbreaking JV400-130/160LX allows end-users more choice, for less money. Better quality, better value, better options, better savings and better environmentally friendly technology, resulting in lower production costs, greater efficiency and greater opportunity for profit.

President of Mimaki Engineering, Miko Noguchi commented on the company’s commitment to new products. ‘Mimaki is dedicated to bringing to market truly innovative and productive products,’ he said. ‘These new printers are a terrific example of that dedication. The JV400 product line achieves faster print speed and higher print quality without compromise.’

Graphix Supply World looks forward to introducing this Latex machine into the market. Robert Franco, Managing Director of GSW, said, ‘Twenty nine orders already secured prior to the launch, clearly indicates that the Mimaki Latex solution is a more cost-effective latex alternative for customers wanting a more economical, eco-friendly and affordable alternative.’

The company also showcased the Polyprint Texjet Plus printer. The direct to garment digital printer offers the same well known high quality and long term reliability as the Texjet plus a number of new improved characteristics, such as increased printing speed by 20%, improved White ink performance due to the pressurized ink cartridge system, while maintaining the same big printable size (42x60cm). Another plus is the reduced printer’s price which now makes it even more affordable to custom t-shirt printers.
