Regma Installs Epson Large Format Technical Printer For Signage And POP Displays

Regma is the first reseller of the Epson SureColor SC-T7700D large format printer in South Africa to install a demonstration unit. The printer has been installed at the company’s demonstration room.

The printer is ideal for the retail point of sale (POS) industry, and the fully integrated, technical printing solution offers high-productivity, smart features, document security and easy operation.

The SureColor SC-T7700D is a technical printer that has been designed for various applications, including: precise line definition, colour accuracy and security for AEC/CAD/GIS plans and drawings; bright colour and high speed production for POS posters in retail; and precision, colour replication, and security for public sector printing.

Regma national sales manager, Mark Farnell, said, ‘Engineered to deliver breakthrough performance, the first available 111.8cm (44 inch) wide SureColor T7700D features industry-leading 6.6cm (2.6 inch) PrecisionCore® printhead technology. Plus it prints posters and POP displays at speeds over 28 sqm/hr and CAD and technical drawings at production-class speeds over 130sqm/hr.’

He outlined the new markets this machine can open, including: architecture; engineering and construction – producing drawings and renderings at fast speeds with accuracy and detail; reprographics; point of purchase signs, renderings, graphics and retail/hospitality POP, education/corporate graphics such as posters, signage, process maps and large spread sheets.

Other key features include a compact footprint up to 25 percent smaller than competitors, an innovative Adobe® Embedded Print engine with four on-board Intel Atom CPUs that quickly process complicated PDF data, and a six colour ink set using vibrant UltraChrome® XD3 Ink with a new Red ink.
