Printing SA’s Cape Chamber dinner on October 24 brought together visionaries, innovators, and change makers, while the KwaZulu-Natal Chamber Dinner held on 30 October 2025 was a night of connection, inspiration, and celebration.

During the Cape Chamber event, a deeply moving moment was the tribute to Zayed Bagus, a beloved leader whose legacy continues to inspire. Guests joined in a solemn moment of silence to honour his memory and reflect on the light he brought to the industry and the lives he touched.

A cornerstone of the evening was the recognition of the Top Achievers apprentices for the 2024–2025 year. These individuals exemplify the value of training and development and serve as role models for others in the industry:

O’Neil Michaels, Apprentice Machine Minder at APL Cartons (Cape Town), distinguished himself in the corrugating manufacturing department and excelled in the TT3 Packaging Trade Theory modules.
Charney Borchards, Civilian Photocopyologist with the South African Navy, who completed her TT3 Electronic Origination modules with distinction, showcased the power of lifelong learning.
Ralton Isaac Williams, Junior Flexographic Minder at Lebone Paarl Labels, whose perseverance through industry disruptions led him to success in Flexography.
Their achievements are a testament to passion, resilience, and the transformative power of education. Printing SA is proud to honour their dedication and the inspiration they bring to others.

The evening featured a powerful keynote address by Ruth Shogoe, Chairperson of the Cape Chamber Regional Executive Committee and Group Executive: Public Sector at Novus Group. Her message highlighted strategic growth, mentorship, and the importance of empowering women and youth in the industry.
Jermaine Naicker, Managing Director of Printing SA, delivered an insightful national update on training and development, reinforcing the organisation’s commitment to nurturing talent and driving industry progress.
