OneVision Announces Latest Software Release

OneVision’s latest release introduces brand new AI modules for bleed generation, image upscaling, and background removal, as well as numerous enhancements across Workspace, Normalize, and Amendo AI, all to increase efficiency, flexibility, and output quality. The company’s software version 26.2 further expands intelligent print automation with new AI capabilities, enhanced Variable Data Printing (VDP) functionality and improved production transparency.

New: AI Services for Intelligent Print Production Workflows

Artificial intelligence is becoming an integral part of modern print production. With the new AI Services, OneVision enables users to seamlessly integrate GPU accelerated AI into existing workflows without manual prompting or complex setup. AI-powered processes run automatically in the background while local deployment keeps sensitive production data within the customer’s own infrastructure.

– AI Bleed automatically generates realistic bleed for print-ready images.
– AI Upscale Pro enhances image resolution by reconstructing image content, enabling high-quality enlargements for professional printing.
– AI Extract automatically removes image backgrounds with high precision, even for complex objects and fine structures.

To provide the performance required for compute-intensive AI applications, AI Services can run on dedicated GPU-enabled machines connected to the OneVision environment. Separating AI processing from the production server improves scalability and allows customers to expand their AI-powered workflows as requirements grow.

Enhanced Variable Data Printing

Version 26.2 expands OneVision’s Variable Data Printing capabilities to simplify personalised print production and improve compatibility with modern workflows. VDP processing now supports direct export to PDF 1.7, while the VDP Template Editor has been extended to accept JSON as an input format for file structures. These enhancements make template creation more flexible, simplify data integration, and enable more efficient production of variable print jobs.

Enhanced Dashboards for Greater Workflow Transparency

Keeping production under control becomes even easier with the new monitoring and visualisation features in Workspace. Configurable warning and critical indicators highlight time-sensitive jobs, while dashboards now support user-defined time-series data for more customized production monitoring. Additional enhancements include richer CSV job ticket metadata, temporarily deactivatable assemblyline connections for workflow testing, and extended AI Queries configuration options for integrating AI providers more flexibly.

Additional Automation Enhancements in Normalize

There are numerous enhancements across the Normalize product family that further automate print preparation and finishing. These improvements include more flexible scaling options, optimised colour management, enhanced cutting and nesting functionality, as well as extended support for future PDF technologies, helping users increase automation and production efficiency.

Improved Image Processing with Amendo AI

Amendo AI also benefits from several improvements in image processing and metadata handling. Enhanced AI Upscale capabilities, more flexible image merging, and optimised metadata support contribute to even higher image quality and more reliable processing results.
