Mouvent Announces Launch Of TX801 Textile Printer

Mouvent has launched its first printer, the TX801, an eight-colour digital textile printer producing high print quality on textiles with up to 2000 DPI optical resolution.

Ghislain Segard, marketing and sales manager, textile machines at Mouvent said that this is a major step forward in textile printing, and that the TX801 enables crisp, colourful, very high printing quality in a cost-effective way for short to medium print runs on a wide range of textile materials.

‘Not only is this machine a major advance on traditional textile printing but also on existing digital methods, with a noticeable leap forward in quality, industrialisation and reliability.’

The TX801 prints with up to eight colours and, even though it is a scanning type machine, up to 50% of the print jobs are completed in a single pass, boosting productivity up to 200sqm per hour or 120m per hour without compromising on quality. In order to reach those levels of productivity, the TX801 uses an ingenious, very compact proprietary print engine development, integrating Fuji’s Samba print head technology. This is associated with speed, precision and scalability, deploying up to 16g per sqm of ink in a single pass. The engines are based on the Mouvent Cluster, which results in high optical resolution and a very high printing quality. The machine can print onto knitted, woven and non-woven textiles. The maximum fabric width that can be processed is 1800mm with roll diameters of up to 400mm.

‘The TX801 is a very durable, compact and accessible printer,’ said Segard. ‘The high longevity and resistance of the print heads is proven, guaranteeing an exceptionally long service life of the Mouvent Cluster. It is one of the smallest digital printers in its category, helping to boost productivity with a minimum footprint for simple implementation, very ergonomic utilisation and extremely quick and efficient job changeovers, making it highly cost effective even on very short runs.’

‘The TX801 also has a very competitive price per square metre compared with basic digital printers, but with unrivalled print quality,’ said Segard. ‘We believe it will change the face of digital textile printing.’

The TX801 is the first printer to be launched by Mouvent, a new company founded by a joint venture between BOBST and Radex. The company has a full product pipeline of digital printers, which will be unveiled in the months ahead.
