Mimaki’s 3DUJ-553 3D printer has been shortlisted for the TCT Awards. The printer is unique in its colour capabilities, with the ability to produce more than 10 million colours in layers as fine as 19 microns.
Its water-soluble support material can be easily washed off when the object has been produced, saving time and reducing the possibility of damaging the object when support material is removed. The availability of clear ink adds an extra dimension to printed pieces for an enhanced appearance.
‘We are honoured to be considered for this prestigious award for our unique 3DUJ-553 full-colour 3D printer,’ said Danna Drion, marketing manager EMEA at Mimaki Europe. ‘This innovative system was also nominated for the Innovation of the Year for the 3DPI Awards 2018 and was granted a prestigious EDP Award 2018 for the Best 3D Additive Full Colour Printer. The breadth of these awards and award nominations reflects how unique this printer truly is, and we are pleased with the industry recognition it is garnering.’
The awards ceremony will take place on 26 September 2018 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.
