Signs Express Norwich has supplied Home Instead’s needs for signage and graphics for years and the latest reason for its phone ringing was because the company needed graphics for a car for one of its mobile care staff. Metamark’s MetaCast MDC cast digital wrap film with MetaGlide® was chosen for the project.
The base vehicle, a red Peugeot, needed a branded livery, and a total wrap was prescribed. Brands matter, and when yours is among the most recognised in its field, the execution needs to be well regulated.
The team at Signs Express Norwich was supplied with a livery design and needed to translate the flat definition so that it would fit the vehicle perfectly and satisfy the tight definition of the client’s brand. The design navigated a few iterations before receiving the client’s sign-off and production could then proceed.
The Signs Express Norwich team elected to use MetaCast® MDC from Metamark for the Home Instead wrap. It would be printed on an Epson SureColor S80600 printer and laminated with MDC’s matched MGC laminate. MetaCast® MDC, as its name suggests, is a premium cast film engineered expressly for wrapping applications, and it inherits the exemplary print quality delivered by its other stablemates in the Metamark MD-Class digital media portfolio.
Small vehicles, cars in particular, can represent a more challenging wrap canvas, especially when they have spoilers to contend with, than bigger vans and light commercials and the Peugeot with its rather muscular quarters was just such an example. When wrapping such vehicles, a feel for the material in the hands of the wrapper is essential and the two proceed on the basis of trust that the material will do what is asked of it.
The Sign Express Norwich team delivered a result for its client that stands the closest scrutiny.
