Metamark materials were selected for a bus wrapping project that required colour-change as well as cut and applied lettering. The project was undertaken by Dragon Signs.
Bath Rugby recently celebrated winning the Gallagher Premiership cup. The team and its entourage got to say thank you to the legions of fans and supporters who never wavered while Bath was finding its form, and that culminated in an open-topped bus tour of the City of Bath.
Dragon Signs has an association with Bath Rugby and was awarded the job of wrapping the busses at the centre of the celebration. Had Bath gone down on the day, the plan was to send one bus out to thank everyone for their support. In the event, Bath triumphed and so a second wrapped bus was needed for the very next day to deliver the full-strength celebration.
Dragon Signs’ team worked all night and delivered a second, total coverage bus wrap complete with all the correct lettering and graphics. The resources and capabilities needed to deliver under such time pressure speak to Dragon Signs’ stature as signage and graphics producers.
Metamark MCX was used for the bus body colour-change element of the wraps and Metamark M7 for the cut and applied lettering. MCX has a good reputation for working well in skilled hands when a deadline’s pressing and it acquitted itself well.
