Metamark’s MetaCast MDC premium cast digital film and other company materials were used to personalise a convertible Mini. The car came to the team at Futureclient with Union Flag mirror caps, among other bits and pieces, pointing the way toward the next step in the plan – a wrap.
Minis are no strangers to patriotic wraps, but this example ruled itself out of bounds in terms of having something done with the ubiquitous flagged roof: it’s a convertible so that would not work.
The team at Futureclient proposed a design that dominates the vehicle’s flanks with the flag element and that uses the bonnet to great effect to display colour-keyed stripes that resonate with the flag and that also manage to scream ‘performance’. The whole ensemble really works. It certainly succeeds in looking like a fully subscribed member of the breed, but it’s highly individual too.
Further accentuating the individuality, the car exhibits is the finish. The wrap is matt. It drinks in the light around it, the graphics as a consequence really pop and the head-turning effect achieved gets a bit of a lift too.
Futureclient printed its design using an HP360 Latex printer on Metamark’s premium cast wrapping film, MetaCast® MDC. The HP and MDC play well together despite the high drying temperatures the printer dishes out. The printed wrap is laminated with MDC’s matching stablemate, MGC, a mechanically compatible premium cast material, in matt.
