PrimeCenter 4.5 introduces visual and job tracking criteria that help users recognise their jobs and avoid costly mix-ups or errors. These improvements reduce mental load and provide a clearer, more intuitive workflow, especially valuable during high-volume production periods.
In high-volume environments, keeping track of every print job and production step can quickly escalate and become tedious work. That’s why PrimeCenter 4.5 goes beyond technical improvements and focuses on the practical challenges print teams face when identifying and tracking jobs.
Caldera has strengthened cut-contour and annotations management, giving operators more flexibility, visibility and control over how their jobs are prepared. PrimeCenter 4.5 is a thoughtful upgrade designed to make everyday tasks easier by saving time, reducing stress, and delivering a more intuitive and tractable workflow for professionals who depend on precise technical information to track jobs everyday.
PrimeCenter 4.5 introduces clearer, more intuitive contour identification in the studio by allowing each cut contour to have its own colour. Instead of relying on one default colour or guessing which path belongs to which operation/purpose, users can now customise every contour colour right in the contour dictionary, even the default ones. Contours that serve the same purpose, like Cut, CutContour, or Thru-Cut, can still share a colour, while any new contours you add automatically get a distinct, easy-to-detect colour.
This simple change makes working with files noticeably easier. When users open a complex design with multiple contours, the paths are easy to see, so they can do a quick visual colour check to make sure everything is set up right. Mistakes are easier to catch early, and checking the file feels more straightforward because every contour is clearly identified.
In this way, there is less space for confusion and users will experience fewer interruptions to double-check what each contour means. Teams can move through jobs more confidently and maintain accuracy even when handling a high volume of files.
Enhanced Annotation Flexibility For Better Production Tracking
Now, operators can control exactly what shows up on both the text and the optical codes (like barcodes or QR codes) on products. This means they can have different information for what’s visible and what’s scanned, depending on what’s needed at different points in the process.
This new flexibility is great for making sure the right people have the right information at the right time. For example, an operator on the floor might need to see a product’s name or description, while the tracking system just needs a barcode or QR code to know where the product is in the process.
