Caldera Releases DTF Printing Solution Update

Caldera Releases Update To DTF Printing Solution

Caldera Direct-to-Film 1.4 features an updated Adobe PDF Print Engine (APPE) library that renders PDFs in RGB using wide gamut ICC profiles, ensuring accurate colour fidelity and accuracy. The File Manager has been enhanced with a new ‘import date’ field, allowing users to easily track when images were added to the application, improving asset and file management.

Navigation within the Image Module has been simplified by relocating the ‘Colour Adjustments’ and ‘Knockout’ settings into individual collapsible menus, balancing content display and simplifying user interaction. Performance improvements are notable, particularly in processing PDFs from PrimeCenter layouts containing multiple copies of the same image for high-resolution printing.

Users will also appreciate a new blue notification toast that appears when printing linearisation or ICC profiling targets, offering clear feedback similar to previous versions. The colour preview of layers in imported PDF files containing both RGB images and spot colours has been significantly improved, resulting in better on-screen colour accuracy.

Furthermore, Caldera Direct-to-Film 1.4 adds support for the Roland TY-300 printer driver, expanding hardware compatibility for users. Users can now use their Roland TY-300 with Caldera Direct-to-Film to print accurate colours and DTF transfers.

Several important fixes have been implemented to enhance overall stability and compatibility.
