Renowned family business and designer and supplier of specialised signage to the retail and commercial sector, previously known as AE Plastics, recently rebranded as AE Signage.
The rebranding was celebrated at a function held at the company’s premises in Wadeville, Germiston. The launch function was attended by the company’s many long-standing clients, suppliers and staff.
AE Signage was established 42 years ago by Des Geraghty with four staff members, the company focused on ‘point-of-purchase’ products, where vacuum formed packaging and creative display shelving was the main priority.
Managing Director Brendan Geraghty said, ’As our primary business has for many years now been directly focused on the design and supply of signage in southern Africa, we decided to rebrand with a subtle yet meaningful name change, to AE Signage. The new name is very specific as to the type of service and product we offer and thus will be more appropriate in the marketplace.’
AE Signage is proud of its set of in-house skills, coupled with a modern 10,000sqm factory complete with overhead cranes and warehousing for bulk storage. As a family business, the term ‘family’ naturally extends to encompass not only all staff, but is loosely seen in the culture of the organisation to ultimately include suppliers and customers alike.
