A SMALL STEP FOR MANKIND, A GIANT LEAP FOR ARIZONA PRINTS

747

Arizona prints are ending up in space – going where no Arizona print has gone before. A customer in Italy using an Arizona 550GT provided a local food processing company with packaging for many de-hydrated meals which will be consumed by the Italian astronaut and the rest of the international crew, assigned to the International Space Station (ISS) next year.

The whole food supply, as usual, has to be sent to the ISS well in advance with a cargo rocket and so the Arizona user had to:

– Print and submit samples of different given polyethylene packages (envelopes, bags etc).
– Wait for all sorts of military-level testing (temperature, resistance, vacuum, safety and boiling) and approval.

The Arizona user finally received the go-ahead to print a few hundreds polyethylene packages with the delicacy name, the European Space Agency and the contractor logo and other reference codes.

After conquering Planet Earth with over 3000 units and countless applications, space is the next frontier for the Arizona printer.
