Sign-Tronic exhibited equipment for cost effective-printing at the Sign Africa Durban expo. The event took place from the 27-28 May at the Durban ICC.
At the stand were two Monti Antonio solutions: a flatbed thermo printing press, and a roll-to-roll version.
Samples of 1mm coated aluminium, which can be rolled, formed or laser cut, were showcased and produced using the thermo printing press. Scratch-resistant and waterproof photographic quality images are achieved when dye sublimated at 200° Celsius for 90 seconds.
Samples of high gloss blockout polyester film which users can sublimate or directly UV print were also showcased.
With the roll-to-roll version, users can set the feed rate of material on the the machine’s feed attachment.
Also featured was the ColoRate Model X PRO textile printer, which can print at 500sqm/h on 29gsm paper. The cost of the printing process is extremely low compared to competitors. It also uses jumbo rolls of paper.
