Ruan Greeff of Wrap My Ride was declared the ultimate winner of the 2017 Speed Wrap Challenge at the FESPA Africa and Sign Africa expos. He has won a trip to FESPA 2018 in Berlin to take part in the FESPA World Wrap Masters.
The event was sponsored by platinum sponsor Roland, expo sponsors FESPA Africa and Sign Africa, vinyl sponsors Grafiwrap (distributed by Maizey Plastics) and Ri-wrap (distributed by Red Hot Media).
The daily challenges, which spanned over a course of three days from 13-15 September at Gallagher Convention Centre, involved participants racing against the clock to wrap a vehicle door to the best standards. The last challenge saw the top two competitors having to wrap a mannequin’s torso in record time.
‘I am very excited about competing next year in Berlin,’ said Greeff, ‘I want to make South Africa proud.’

2nd – Joey-Lee Erasmus – Wrap My Ride.
3rd – Gareth James – Wrapmasters.
Day 2 – 14 September
1st – Ruan Greeff – Wrap My Ride.
2nd – Gareth James – Wrapmasters.
3rd – Simba Mapholisa – Wrap My Ride.
Day 3 – 15 September
1st – Ruan Greeff /Gareth James – Wrap My Ride/Wrapmasters (tied).
2nd – Senzo Nzama – Consortium.
3rd – Vaughn Repsold – VR Wraps.
