Chemosol exhibited at the recent Sign Africa and FESPA Africa Expo, held from 12-14 September at Gallagher Convention Centre.

The company showcased a range of different products, including:

• Bascocut cutters, for cutting out preprinted labels, stickers and badges. Products feature optical sensors to read registration, high cutting force to cut through reflective media, SignMaster software and USB/network operability.

• The latest range of Han’s Yeuming laser cutters and engravers, including high power fibre units for specialised marking of various substrates, done with either high wattage or a MOPA fibre source.

• Chemosol’s popular 8-in-1 heat press combo, which includes plate attachments, cap/hat attachment and 38x38cm flatbed press, as well as four different mug attachments of various shapes and sizes.

• G2 38x38cm heat press, an economical reliable start up press that is popular due to its affordability. Chemosol supplies a range of heat presses to meet clients’ requirements. These begin with presses for the hobby/craft/small start up business market.

• A vast range of mug presses, as well as flat presses in various configurations and sizes.

• The popular 40 x 50cm G3 sliding drawer heat press, which makes it easy to load and offload items, includes a magnetic lock for auto release, and ensures no burning of products.

• 40x60cm dual pneumatic heat press for T-shirts, tiles and other flat substrates, for high production applications. Chemosol also supply the CYC 40x60cm pneumatic heat press with dual loading stations. Clients can control the pressure of the transfer, resulting in the best application. The dual station allows for loading and offloading while pressing for optimum production.

• For screen printing, an easy to use entry level one colour table top unit was displayed. For larger volume orders, the six colour four station series two manual carousal is the go-to machine due to precise registration and repeatable prints.

• On display, Chemosol had a wide range of TIC pad printing machines ranging from a manual close cut system up to a five colour fully automatic pad printer. This allows for production of complex artwork onto a multitude of substrates at a high production speed.

• SCF 300, a versatile semi-automatic screen printer which can be used for printing flat items such as decals or cylindrical items like bottles and glassware.

• Hebbecker had the S-LIE 6-10 screen printing machine on display, which can print 600 shirts per hour and up to six colours. It had only two operators: one to load, another to offload. This is Hebbecker’s entry level machine which is very popular for corporate gifts as well as clothing. For more complex applications, Chemosol carries larger format machines from Hebbecker, and these are built to customers’ specific requirements.

• The Epson Workforce WF-5110 sublimation printer received great interest due to its speed and quality of transfers, at 30 seconds per page. Where customers require an A3 print then the Epson Workforce WF-8090 is available.

• To complement the Epson fabric range of printers that Chemosol distributes for southern Africa, the company displayed a range of transfer presses to be used. The Epson F6200 is a 1118mm sublimation printer that goes very well with the 1220H transfer press, which has a loading table for cut garments, as well as the function of a roll-to-roll transfer.

• The Chemosol TTM 1700 rotary heat press, which has a 320mm diameter drum, allowing for high speed sublimation. It goes well with the Epson F7200 and F9300 models.

Chemosol sales director Dov Meyers found that the expo had consistent visitors throughout most of the day, allowing the company to spend quality time with its existing and potential customers.
