Canon South Africa hosted an event at the Capital Empire in Sandton on 12 April, to showcase some of its latest technologies spanning large format printing, office and home printing, digital compact as well as entry-level and professional EOS cameras.

Michelle van Vuuren, general manager marketing, discussed the company’s recent milestones and achievements including the adoption of the Wild Shots wildlife photography programme, as well as Canon being recognised as one of the world’s most trusted brands, admired companies and top patent filers.

Channel manager business imaging group, Prakash Naidoo, explained that Canon’s large format devices are able to take an image and bring it into a whole new dimension, transferring the image onto any substrate, be it glass, Perspex, leather, floors or ceilings.

Naidoo emphasised Canon’s Arizona that has both flatbed and roll-to-roll options, and which can print on almost anything; as well as the Colorado, which boasts the innovative UV Gel technology, high speed, top quality and low costs and can also print on a wide array of materials.

‘We always determine exactly what our clients need and find the solution which is best for them. My personal logo is, if you dream of it, you can print it,’ said Naidoo.
